Who we see
Northern Quarter patients we see most
- Desk and studio workers in the agencies, tech firms and coworking spaces around Tib Street and Stevenson Square — often with neck, shoulder and lower back pain from long hours at a laptop.
- Hospitality staff on their feet for long shifts in the bars, cafés and restaurants — with back, hip and foot problems.
- Runners, climbers and gym-goers — including people training for the Manchester Marathon — with overuse and sports injuries.
Our team
Who you’ll see
Our chiropractors are Josh Newsom (clinic director, MChiro — special interest in sports injuries, posture and lower-limb problems), Abbie McCarty and Timi Toviho, all registered with the General Chiropractic Council. Our sports massage therapists are Lauren Hudson, Jack Edhouse and Titina Nanau.
Conditions
What we help with
Our chiropractors assess and treat back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches, sports injuries, hip and joint pain, ankle pain and wrist pain. Our therapists offer sports massage and deep tissue massage, and we build rehabilitation plans with exercises you can do at home or in the gym.
First visit
What happens at your first appointment
- Consultation — we go through your symptoms, health history and goals.
- Assessment — a physical, orthopaedic and, where relevant, neurological examination.
- Explanation — we tell you what we think is going on and whether chiropractic care is suitable. If you need a GP, a scan or a different type of care first, we say so.
- Plan — if you want to go ahead, we agree a plan of hands-on treatment, exercise and advice, with clear costs.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Is there a chiropractor near the Northern Quarter?
Yes. Ancoats Chiropractic Clinic is at Royal Mills on Redhill Street, around 10 minutes’ walk from Stevenson Square, on the Ancoats side of Great Ancoats Street.
Can I fit an appointment around work?
Follow-up appointments are short, so many Northern Quarter patients come before work, at lunch or after a shift. Check live availability on our online booking page.
Do I need a GP referral to see a chiropractor?
No. You can book directly. If anything in your assessment suggests you need medical tests, we will refer you to your GP.
How much does a chiropractor cost?
Our new patient consultation is £45 and includes a full assessment. See our pricing page for follow-up and massage prices.
Chiropractor, physio or osteopath — who should I see?
All three treat muscle and joint problems with hands-on care and exercise. What matters most is a proper assessment and a registered practitioner. Our chiropractors are GCC-registered, and we will tell you if another professional would suit you better.
Do you offer sports massage too?
Yes. Lauren, Jack and Titina offer 30- and 60-minute sports and deep tissue massage, either on its own or alongside chiropractic care.
